ISSUES
Everyday Freedom Starts With Safety
Public safety means peace of mind in everyday life—running errands without fear, riding the bus with confidence, and letting your child ride a bike through the neighborhood in the late afternoon. These simple freedoms should never feel risky. That peace of mind disappears when violent repeat offenders are released back onto our streets—and when unchecked illegal immigrants, admitted under Biden’s disastrous border policies, are allowed to roam freely through our communities. In Congress, I will put the safety of American families first by holding criminals accountable, supporting law enforcement, and enforcing immigration laws so our communities are safe, orderly, and free.
American Grown Food on the Table
California families feel rising grocery costs every time they shop. Too many regulations make it harder for local farmers to sell directly to consumers and raise costs before food ever leaves the farm—hurting small producers while large, foreign-owned corporations can more easily absorb compliance costs. At the same time, while gas prices are under $3 across much of the country, Californians are still paying up to $6 a gallon. Those higher fuel costs drive up transportation expenses and push food prices even higher. When it costs less to grow food and less to move it, families pay less at the store.
In Congress, I will work to cut red tape, lower energy and fuel costs, and protect American farmland—so our farmers can compete, our food supply stays secure, and more American-grown food ends up on family tables.
Building the Next American Frontier
America has always led the world by pioneering new frontiers and embracing new technology. Turning away from innovation is a failed approach that weakens our economy and limits opportunity for working families. I believe America’s greatest advantage is its untapped talent, and in Congress I will work to expand high-skill pathways through apprenticeships, career-focused education, and workforce training that directly support manufacturing, engineering, and the skilled trades. By leading in advanced manufacturing and emerging technologies like artificial intelligence, we can create good-paying jobs, strengthen domestic production, and keep America competitive for the next generation.
Clearing the Path to Earned Success
America’s entrepreneurial spirit is unmatched. What people need is not handouts, but the tools to succeed—financial literacy, practical skills, and the freedom to build something of their own. In America, anyone—regardless of background, age, or formal education—should have the opportunity to earn a living, support a family, and achieve self-reliance. That is the American way: building something from nothing, not asking for something for free.
I will work to expand financial literacy and small-business resources that awaken America’s entrepreneurial potential. As Mayor of Westminster, I helped lead a resurgence of small businesses while advancing major developments that brought hundreds of construction and retail jobs back to our community. As your representative, I will fight to prioritize domestic industries, eliminate regulations that stifle small businesses, and reduce the tax burden on working families—so opportunity is earned, not limited.
Sunlight on Hidden Influence
Throughout history, authoritarian movements have relied on psychological warfare and ideological infiltration—especially on college campuses—to weaken free societies from within. I witnessed these tactics firsthand under Communist rule in Vietnam, and I recognize the warning signs. Today, violent extremist networks and radical ideologies—whether far left or Islamist terrorists—seek to fracture our social fabric through intimidation, disinformation, and unrest. In Congress, I will support strong action to hold violent actors accountable and demand transparency and oversight of nonprofit organizations and foreign-linked entities that fund or enable political extremism.
Guarding Liberty at Home
I believe the American way demands steadfast defense of every citizen’s right to free speech and human dignity. That commitment is more urgent today as foreign actors and politically motivated organizations—often operating through NGOs—spend millions to influence our discourse, inflame division, and, in extreme cases, contribute to political violence and targeted attacks. In Congress, I will defend free speech on federally funded college campuses and stand firmly with those who uphold our constitutional freedoms and the American way of life.
